John Wesley (Wes) Emison, MD, DDS

Dr. Wes Emison completed his Bachelor of Arts degree (BA in biology and chemistry) at California Western University in San Diego. He received his Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS degree) from the UCLA School of Dentistry. Dr. Emison then completed a four-year residency in oral and maxillofacial surgery at Charity Hospital of New Orleans with the renowned LSU training program. He then attended medical school, earning his Doctor of Medicine (MD degree), at the LSU School of Medicine, where he became the first dual degree oral and maxillofacial surgeon educated in Louisiana. Following medical school, Dr. Emison completed his general surgery internship at Ochsner Hospital of New Orleans. Dr. Emison was in private practice in Los Gatos, California for 34 years where he was the Medical Director of an accredited ambulatory surgical facility known as Los Gatos Oral and Maxillo-Facial Surgery. Additionally, Dr. Emison has been the Chair of the Division of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery in the Department of Surgery at Good Samaritan Hospital in San Jose, California for 25 years. He is a founding member of the Jack Kent Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery Foundation and current President of the Foundation.
