Dr. Jon Perenack’s practice is almost solely devoted to facial cosmetic and reconstructive surgery. He has received board certification from both the American Board of Cosmetic Surgery in Facial Cosmetic Surgery and American Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery. Dr. Perenack completed fellowship training at the prestigious Facial Plastic and Cosmetic Surgery Center in Texas in 2003. Previously, he completed his residency in Oral and Maxillofacial in New Orleans at LSU Health Sciences Center. Dr. Perenack was a full-time faculty member of the LSU Department of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery from 2003 to 2015 and was the Director of Residency Training at LSU from 2005 to 2014. He was President of the American College of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons in 2017 and has chaired the Cosmetic Section of the AAOMS Parameters of Care from 2016 to present. While maintaining an associate adjunct clinical professorship with LSU OMS, Dr. Perenack is currently in full-time private practice in Baton Rouge Louisiana and offers a 1 year AACS-accredited Fellowship in Facial Cosmetic Surgery. Dr. Perenack has numerous journal and book chapter publications in the cosmetic field to his credit and has spoken on the subject internationally.
