Restorative Fellowship
The Department of
Periodontics of the LSUHSC
School of Dentistry offers
a one-year fellowship for
postgraduate instruction
in the following:
- Comprehensive
restorative and surgical
planning for implants
- Site development prior
to implant placement
- Implant selection
- Laboratory fabrication
of surgical stents for
all the residents
- Restoration of
removable and fixed
prosthodontic cases
- Development of a team
approach for implant
restorations
- Periodontal treatment
planning with the
residents in
periodontics
- Case planning through
the use of CBCT scans
and CAD/CAM technology
- Participation in
research studies
One or two fellows will be
accepted each year. A
certificate is awarded at
the end of the program.
Requirements for
Admission
Applicants must hold a DDS, DMD, or BDS degree.
Program Length
The 12-month program
begins on July 1.
Stipend
Students enrolled in the
implant fellowship receive
a stipend. The amount
changes as support from
private implant companies
varies.
